The newly formed Greenfield Downtown Association selected Bellinger Foster Steinmetz and their design team to develop design guidelines for the downtown area. Public meetings were held throughout the process, from inception of the Downtown Vision through completion of the design guidelines. Working with the Association and local downtown business owners, the team developed facade improvements that included a vibrant color palette. With renovation funding provided by the City, the first phase facade improvements, consistent with the new guidelines, were implemented by local painters and craftsmen on a very low budget.
