The design of this park, which encompasses about 8 acres, balances neighborhood active recreational needs with a desire for passive park character. Neighborhood involvement in the design process was acheived through a series of meetings to assess need, character, and to review the park design at each step. A questionnaire was also mailed to neighborhood residents to acquire input from a broad cross-section of residents. Once these needs were addressed, complete construction documents were completed, and construction begun.
