Bellinger Foster Steinmetz continues to assist the City in achieving its goal of a “Window on the Bay,” extending open space along a major entrance to the City. As the City acquires and demolishes commercial and industrial property facing Del Monte Avenue, Monterey Bay Park is expanding with open grass areas, sand volleyball courts, realignment of the Monterey Bay Trail, and native dune plantings. Construction documents are now complete for a new restroom, boardwalk access to the beach, and further expansion of the park. The result is a valuable open space and recreation amenity for residents and visitors alike that enhances the unique character of Monterey and its connection to the Bay.
