Seaside to Sand City Trail Feasability, Sand City, CA

The trail’s significance lies in its potential to provide a regional link to the north and south from Castroville to Monterey. The California State Coastal Conservancy commissioned this feasibility study to identify primary route options and acquisition and development costs for a bicycle and pedestrian trail through the Seaside and Sand City communities. The trail currently consists of thirteen miles of bicycle path with a five mile recreation path passing through Seaside and ending in Pacific Grove. Future trail expansion to Point Lobos through Carmel has been considered.
