Soldier Field is the first park resulting from a joint use agreement between the U.S. Army and the City of Monterey. Bellinger Foster Steinmetz prepared master plan alternatives and final construction documents for renovation of an underutilized marching field in the Presidio for soccer, baseball and softball fields. Significant grading, drainage and irrigation improvements for the 10 acre site accommodate City sports leagues while maintaining event space. Constructed in 1997 the total cost was $777,500.
