The school Boosters as well as the community came together to raise funds to install a new synthetic field in the football stadium. Bellinger Foster Steinmetz was asked to prepare the construction documents for the first new style synthetic (rubber) filled turf on the Central Coast. The project was completed for the fall 2002 season.
